TECHNOSANGRAM   DIARIES   PART V

So finally the day arrived.. for which we all had waited.. for which this council was formed.. the organizing of which had taught us so much.. an event for which a whole class had come together and contributed significantly in whichever way they all could!! cheers!

on the morning of 17th feb, i reached colg at 7:30 am.. we had many last min preps to do.. putting up flowers.. setting up the dais.. mic and speakers system.. trial of the technosangram inaugural gig..

Principal sir arrived at 9:30 am.. so did HOD sir.. and then began the inaug.. i must thank many people in this post who took charge of things and ensured that evrything went smoothly..

we had runali, shikha, sneha, mithila and shailaja who put up this wonderful rangoli at the entrance of the dept

Nisha, namrata, apurva who patiently manned the helpdesk for 3 days and handled all the chaos and rush!!

Special thanks to Tanvi, Anusha, aditi and resmy for taking charge of the main bldg helpdesk.. they were away from the dept, alone in the mian bldg.. boring task.. but they did it without complainign.. i cant thank u enough!

ruj, shivam and tanvi for keeping the refreshments ready!

pushkar and kapil for making the techno pulling ceremony possible!

HOD sir for ALL the kind co-operation.. right from permissions, to inspiring us to go ahead and create new ideas to promptly signing certificates as and when we needed! 

to savinay, pranab, vibhav for handling the gaming events so well!

to tosha, amogh, harsh, maurice for handling debate, prototype and bcazr so nicely

to atul for making the umpteen trips to ponda for small odd jobs

to vaibhav and esp kapil for taking care of all the accomodation needs of all outstation participants

to mahadev for handling his cluster events so smoothly

to tanvi talkar for all the help that she gave before, during and post techno.. she really helped us a lot with anythign and everything that we needed!

to shivam for being there present all the time as actively as a council member

to ruj for making awesome decors

to aniket for having taken so many responsbilities of doing all small odd jobs and the big ones too with ease and without complaints!

to anuj shinde and aakaash rodrgiues for the photo and video coverage of the event

to sagar for having helped like a part of ETC!

to allt he seniors who were so helpful and co-operative!

haah! perhaps the list is unending and i didnt mention evrybody.. but must tell u that everybody from the class lend their full support in every way they could!

DAY 1 of techno was flooded with entries for all events.. most events exceeded expected participation!

the same story continued through day 2 and day 3!

we had to postpone a few events.. and modify rules of another.. but all in all.. there was contentment on the face of participants.. organizers too were happy that their efforts paid off!

we had kids from NIT telling us that many part were even better organized than QUARK! that was a huge compliment!

the staff praised us and so did the faculty..

let me mention something here.. ETC dept of GEC DOES have the BEST staff and faculty.. extremely supportive, encouraging, helpful and motivating!!

no doubt we are the BEST DEPT in college! :)  :)

events like TANDAV and TECHNOSANGRAM bring out that feeling of branch loyalty.. that feeling of being the best.. feeling of being privileged!

aah bdw.. how can i forget.. few of our 'friends' from another dept printed tshirts which said "pyaar karo sangram nahi" and wore them during the time.. well it was a nice gig. innovative.. we took it very positively.. post which they got pissed and started sangram with us.. but now things are settled for good

but i m waiting to see the awesome show they pit up in the coming semester!

honestly, all this that they did was unnecessary.. ti was childish and stupid.. i kinda felt sad FOR them.. but then.. freedom of expression! :)

but it provided us lot of publicity.. a few "in their own world" ppl told me they knew techno was happening coz they saw these guys in tshirts at raj! thanks u to te comp! lots of love! :)

haah!

well theres a lot to say!

but somehow cant find the right words!

i m just glad all this went so smoothly.. got the due credit that we deserved.. personally i was happy coz the hardwork was recognized and appreciated.. I was glad i lived up to many expectations!!

for the people to whom techno mattered.. they dont need the words as description.. they had the wonderful experience!
